Kid-Friendly Vinaigrette
I have experimented with salad dressings enough to know what will sell fresh veggies to my kids. In our house, it's store-bought ranch, or it's homemade vinaigrette. I like this one because we always have these ingredients on-hand, and you don't even need a seasonings packet. It's the best way to disguise and sell any fresh veggie to kids!
Ingredients:
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
2 Tbs. water
1/2 cup olive oil
1/2 tsp. salt
1 Tbs. sugar
1 Tbs. honey mustard
Instructions:
- Combine all ingredients in dressing cruet.
- Shake well.
- Serve over any salad or fresh veggies. (My kids' favorite salad is romaine lettuce with chopped apples, mozzarella cheese chunks, craisins, and toasted chopped walnuts!)
